I am stuck at the same point.

Could you please guide me that how did you manage to add an component in purchase requisition. I have a requirement to add a dummy material in PR when it is getting created by FM CO_BT_AFVG_APPEND .

( this FM is called in BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN. I have debug the BAPI till this point )
